During May 17~18, the 2012 Shanghai Econometrics Workshop was held by the Department of Quantitative Economics at SOE, SUFE. This workshop welcomed econometricians and scholars from China and abroad to gather together and exchange their views on interesting topics and frontier research findings in econometrics.
The keynote speaker at this workshop was Prof. Peter C.B. Phillips from Yale University. Invited speakers included Profs. Jushan Bai from Columbia University, Jin-Chuan Duan from National University of Singapore, Liangjun Su from Singapore Management University, Zhijie Xiao from Boston College, Jun Yu from Singapore Management University and Tong Li from Vanderbilt University. At the workshop, the scholars introduced their latest research findings and had animated discussions, which inspired creative thinking.
Shanghai Econometrics Workshop is held every year in late May or June, as one of the summer workshop series. SOE also holds annual workshops in Microeconomics and Macroeconomics. The series of workshops is an integral part of the school's constant efforts in high-end academic exchange and quality research. We welcome presenters and participants all over the world to join us in academic exchange and communication.
