Lately, eight papers of SOE and IAR were selected into the 9th China Economics Annual Conference by its review committee among the total 1091 papers submitted to the Conference. The number of papers accepted is an index for the educational and research strength in economics academia.
All of the eight papers were written by our doctoral and post-doctoral students independently or with their advisors, which well displays the strength of SOE's international-oriented educational programs that aim to foster promising talents who are equipped with a solid mathematics-economics background, outstanding research potential, analytical skills and creative thinking.
The 9th China Economics Annual Conference will be held at Zhejiang University during December 12-13, 2009. The annual conference has been held eight times in China since its inception and exerted a great influence on the economic studies. It provides an excellent platform for Chinese economic scholars to communicate and exchange their ideas in many theoretical and empirical areas of economics.
