Recently, the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Finance released the list of 2007 Talent Cultivation Pattern Innovation Project Experimental Areas, with SOE’s National Fundamental Economic Talent Base Project getting the permission to set up. This will greatly promote the all-round innovation of teaching concept, cultivation pattern and management mechanism in the 11th Five-Year Plan of SOE to build up an innovative cultivation system for talent growth and higher training quality.
As one of the teaching quality construction projects of the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Finance, State-level Talent Cultivation Pattern Innovation Experimental Areas Project aims to encourage and support the comprehensive reform of talent cultivation pattern of higher education institutions in terms of teaching concept, management mechanism and other aspects, in order to set up an cultivation system conducive to the growth of versatile and innovative talents to meet the urgent demand of the country.
This project lays stress on the comprehensive cultivation pattern reform in teaching content, course design, teaching practice, teaching management mechanism as well as teaching organization to establish innovative talent cultivation bases. The first batch of experimental areas of this kind amounts to 220, of which 16 are economic talent cultivation projects.
