Project Introduction

“Smart Mobility Hub” is a smart travel innovation and entrepreneurship project led by students from Shanghai University of Finance and Economics in collaboration with peers from multiple universities. Focusing on emergency transfer pain points in air-rail intermodal passenger travel under the Yangtze River Delta transportation integration initiative, the project addresses travel difficulties at major hubs such as Hongqiao and Pudong, including isolated flight and railway information and the lack of comprehensive response plans for sudden delays. It builds an integrated service system featuring real-time information synchronization, dynamic route re-planning and emergency delay solution push. The team completed the full workflow of “survey – development – pilot”, including more than 300 on-site user questionnaires at transportation hubs, adaptation of multiple types of transportation data interfaces, and construction of a local coordinate database for transport hubs. Deployed on a lightweight WeChat mini-program, the product precisely fills the gap in emergency transfer services among existing travel platforms. Integrating multidisciplinary expertise in economics, computer science, big data and accounting, the project develops an asset-light and rapidly replicable student entrepreneurship model, delivering youth-oriented solutions for smart, people-friendly services at comprehensive transport hubs.

The team broke through multiple rounds of evaluation and won the Second Prize of the 2026 Shanghai “Challenge Cup” on behalf of the university. It represents a solid achievement from SUFE’s interdisciplinary science and innovation team. From project initiation to the municipal final, team members grew rapidly through livelihood-oriented practical work and gained a genuine understanding of young people’s commitment to pragmatic innovation and teamwork. Going forward, they will stay true to their aspiration and keep shining on the path of innovation and growth!
