On the afternoon of September 22nd, Professor Jason Sturgess, Dean of the School of Economics and Finance (SEF), Queen Mary University of London (QMU), visited School of Economics (SOE), SUFE, along with Professor Sujoy Mukerji, Director of Postgraduate Programme of SEF, Assistant Professor Dr Hao Ma, Ms. Emanuela Nova, Strategic Project Manager of SEF, and Ms. Clare Burke, Head of International Partnerships, Global Engagement Office of QMU.
Professor Liguo Lin, Chairman of the School Council of SOE, welcomed Professor Jason Sturgess’s visit to SOE and held talks on the bilateral cooperation. Both sides briefed each other on the general situation of their own schools, conducted in-depth exchanges on current cooperation, and explored the possibility of further collaboration. Associate Professor Zong Qingqing, Vice Dean of the School of Public Economics and Administration (SPEA), also attended the meeting. There were other four colleagues from SOE, Associate Professor Wangyang Lai, Associate Professor Kai Yang, Assistant Professor Tongbin Zhang (the Institute for Advanced Research), Ms. Si Meng, and three colleagues from SPEA, Associate Professor Muyang Zhang, Lecturer Di Mu and Ms. Jin Hui, also participating in the meeting.

After the meeting, Professor Jason Sturgess gave an information session on the School of Economics and Finance, QMU, to the students.
Dr. Hao Ma delivered an academic presentation entitled Machine Learning and Finance to the faculty and students.
