On March 13, the assessment expert team headed by Professor Zhu Ronglin of Shanghai Municipal Government evaluated and approved the Economics Innovation Platform construction of SUFE. Participants included officers from Shanghai Financial Bureau and Shanghai Municipal Education Commission, SUFE President Tan Min, SUFE Vice President Wang Hongwei and principals from SOE and other departments.
During the meeting, President Tan Min gave an introduction to the background and general progress of SUFE EIP construction, followed by SOE General Party Secretary Cheng Lin’s detailed report on EIP reform and construction achievements for the past three years.
Upon discussion and evaluation, the assessment team reached the conclusion that EIP project, with a clear construction orientation and proper operational management, has yielded productive results for this stage. It boasts a large quantity of talents attracted both at home and abroad, numerous high quality research outcomes, the promotion of talent cultivation innovation and quality, as well as the advancement of SUFE’s international reputation.
Experts unanimously approved the EIP stage achievements, with the suggestion that future EIP construction should emphasize further locating a clear and scientific orientation, deepening teaching and research reform, as well as bringing out the demonstration and radiation effect of the platform to better serve the advancement of China’s education quality in economics as well as the national and local economic development
